1.2The pharmacy is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), the regulator for pharmacies in Great Britain. You can check a registration at pharmacyregulation.org. Our Superintendent Pharmacist is Mohammad Mujtaba Ahmed (GPhC registration 2044928).

1.3The pharmacy provides NHS pharmaceutical services under arrangements with NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board, and private services which you pay for.

2. Other terms that may apply

These terms cover your use of the website. Other documents also apply:

3. Health information on this website

3.1The information on this website is general information about our services and about health. It is not a substitute for advice from a pharmacist, doctor or other health professional about your own circumstances. Please speak to one of our pharmacists before relying on it.

3.2This website is not for emergencies. If you need urgent medical help, call 999 or go to your nearest emergency department. For urgent advice that is not an emergency, contact NHS 111 by phone or at 111.nhs.uk. Do not use the website's forms or email for anything urgent.

3.3We take care to keep the website accurate and up to date, but services, opening hours and prices can change. The price that applies to a private service is the one confirmed when you book.

4. Booking appointments

4.1Online booking is provided for us by Charac Limited (company number 12504326). A booking is accepted only when you receive our confirmation. Bookings for NHS services are free. Bookings for private services are governed by our Private Services Terms and Conditions, including the £10 booking payment and our cancellation arrangements, which are shown to you before you pay.

4.2An appointment is an opportunity for assessment. It does not guarantee that a particular service, medicine or treatment will be suitable for you or provided.

4.3You may book for someone else, such as your child or a person you care for, only if you are entitled to act for them. If you need help to book, or need us to make an adjustment, please contact the pharmacy.

5. NHS repeat prescription requests

5.1You can use the website to ask us to request your NHS repeat prescription from your GP practice. We pass your request to the practice; the decision to issue a prescription is your GP's, not ours.

5.2Please allow at least 7 working days before you run out of your medicine. The repeat request service is not suitable for urgent or new medicines. If you are about to run out, contact the pharmacy or your GP practice.

5.3Using this service does not change your Electronic Prescription Service nomination. Nominating a pharmacy is always your choice, and you can change or cancel a nomination at any time by asking us, your GP practice or another pharmacy.

5.4If you claim free NHS prescriptions, you are responsible for making sure the exemption you declare is correct and up to date. The NHS checks exemption claims and may issue a penalty charge where a claim is wrong.

6. Prescription delivery

6.1We deliver prescriptions within the local area using our own employed drivers.

6.2Please make sure your address and contact details are correct. We will deliver to you, or to an adult at the address who agrees to receive the medicines for you. Controlled drugs and medicines that need to be kept in a fridge are handed over only to you or a responsible adult, and may need a signature. We do not leave medicines where they could be taken or found by a child, or where they could be damaged.

6.3If nobody is available, we leave a card and take the medicines back to the pharmacy, and we will contact you to arrange another delivery or collection.

7. Using the website properly

You must not misuse the website. In particular, you must not:

  • give false information, or make a booking or request for someone you are not entitled to act for;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the website, the booking system or any account;
  • introduce viruses or other harmful material, or interfere with the website's operation; or
  • copy or use the website's content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

8. Content and links

8.1The content of this website, including text, images and logos, belongs to us or to those who have licensed it to us. You may view and print pages for your own personal use.

8.2Links to other websites, such as NHS websites, are provided for your information. We are not responsible for the content of those websites.

9. Availability of the website

We aim to keep the website available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free from errors. We may suspend or change it, for example for maintenance. If you cannot use the website, please telephone the pharmacy.

10. Our responsibility to you

10.1Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit. Nothing in these terms affects your rights as a consumer.

10.2We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We provide the website for personal use only, and we are not responsible for business losses.

11. Complaints and contact

If you have a concern about the website or our services, please contact the pharmacy. Our complaints procedure is at batleypharmacy.co.uk/complaints.

12. Changes and the law that applies

12.1We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the website when you use it applies. The date of the current version is shown below.

12.2These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or, if you live elsewhere in the UK, in the courts where you live.
